A Brief History

I originally started this blog to share our experience of living abroad as we relocated from Seattle, WA, USA to Nagoya, Japan in October of 2016.  Both of us had dreams of experiencing life abroad prior to meeting in 2012 and getting married in 2016.  What started as a bucket list-type item hasn't lost steam and is now blurring the lines into what seems like our preferred lifestyle.  We have an insatiable curiosity about how other people and cultures go about their daily lives and never feel more alive than when we are adventuring.  Living abroad is simply the most doable way to make daily life an adventure while pursuing our careers.  We didn't plan for this to be a cycle touring blog but that is mostly what I have written about as that seems to be our preferred MOA (method of adventuring).  Justin's work contract ended in Nagoya, Japan as a result of the pandemic and he found work at a dynamic startup in Gothenburg, Sweden.  We relocated here at the end of July 2021.  We look forward to learning about and sharing with you our experiences in a land and culture which is defined by curious things such as lagom, fika, and work-life balance like you've never heard of before.
